Already well into your U.S. immigration journey and thinking about taking the next steps to become a U.S. Citizen? If you are a current green card holder, you may qualify to apply for naturalization if you:
Are at least 18 years old;
Have been a green card holder for the past three years (while also married to a U.S. Citizen) or otherwise five years;
Have had continuous residence and physical presence in the U.S.;
Have lived for at least three months in a state or USCIS district having jurisdiction over your place of residence;
Plan to reside continuously within the U.S. from the date you filed your application until the date you naturalize;
Are able to read, write and speak basic English;
Have knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of U. S. history and government; and
Have good moral character
